EIZO Announce 4K Monitor
EIZO are the latest company to announce the release of a new 4K monitor (or VDU). That is the FlexScan EV3237, which has a 31.5-inch 4K UHD display. This latest 4K VDU offers plenty of advanced options.
The FlexScan EV237 has an IPS viewing panel with 178 degree viewing angles. As such, you can view a variety of content from almost any angle. The IPS viewing panel also minimizes shifts in color and contrast.
The VDU has a multiple inputs for a range of devices. It includes Display Port 1.2, DVI and HDMI digital inputs that are compatible with multiple devices. In addition, the FlexScan EV3237 also has three alternative USB (Universal Serial Bus) ports.
With the FlexScan EV3237’s USB 3.0 port you can recharge your tablet, phone or other devices. The VDU includes a “Charging Only” option on the OSD menu that speeds up charging. This VDU also has EIZO Monitor Configuration software that system administrators can configure the settings of all FlexScan EV monitors via USB connection with.
EIZO have added a presence sensor to the FlexScan EV3237. This presence sensor detects when you have left the desk. In your absence it then switches to a power save mode for greater energy efficiency.
The VDU also has five preset modes to select from. They are Movie, Paper, sRGB and a couple of more flexible User modes with adjustable settings. With those modes you can then adjust the VDU to ensure that you always get the most suitable application setting.
Those who have multiple operating system platforms should find the FlexScan EV3237’s Picture-by-Picture option handy. This allows you to view things from multiple single sources on the VDU simultaneously. Consequently, you can run both Windows and Mac OS X simultaneously in one of five alternative layouts that can be selected from buttons at the front of the VDU.
Another option included with the FlexScan EV3237 is Picture-in-Picture. This allows you to display a second signal source in a smaller separate screen within the monitor. You can adjust the position of the second screen to the top right, bottom right, top left or bottom left in larger or smaller variations.
