Want A 77 Inch Edition Of LG’s Best 4K OLED HDR TV So Far? Try This Deal
Stephan Jukic – March 14, 2019
LG’s OLED 4K HDR TVs steadily kept improving throughout their evolution from first releases in 2014 to now and the absolute pinnacle of their quality was (so far until the release of the 2019 OLED lineup) reached in the 2018 models. The absolute best among those same 2018 TVs however was the C8 model. Why? Because it offers up the exact same levels of picture performance, motion handling and connectivity as even more expensive LG OLED TVs while being the cheapest of the bunch for entirely superficial reasons of design. In other words, it offered the best of all worlds. In fact, the C8 is so good that we ranked it as the single best 4K TV of the last year on our main TV rankings page.
Even Sony’s considerably pricier 2018 OLED 4K HDR TVs couldn’t quite match the C8 on quality simply because they cost much more while delivering the same essential specs (except that they offered better native speakers but this can easily be fixed with an external sound bar that’s quite a bit cheaper than the difference in price between a Sony OLED and LG’S C8).
And damn is the LG C8 OLED edition good as far as those specs it delivers go. It’s peak brightness is higher than that of any OLED 4K TV released to-date and its delivery of HDR color and contrast was pretty much unbeatable among OLED TVs (Only Samsung’s 2018 QLEDs outperformed it on this).
Aside from these things, the C8 offers the same absolutely perfect black levels and pixel-precise OLED dimming technology that any other TV with this technology can offer. In terms of motion handling as well, the C8, like most OLED TVs, blows any LCD TV out of the water for how well its pixels respond to refreshing on the screen and their response time.
So, with all that said, having a gigantic 77 inch version of the C8 in your home means being able to show off one incredibly powerful, versatile and vibrant screen at its most immersive AND huge. The only issue is price; this TV is expensive by any normal measure and there;s no way around that if you’re buying a unit. However, with the following deal from Amazon, you can at least shave off a solid chunk of money from the C8 OLED’s normally heftier price tag. Instead of spending over $7000 on one of these beasts, you can grab a 77 inch version for $500 less than normal at a final price of $6,496.99. This even includes free shipping for the giant if you’re an Amazon Prime member.
The discount being offered here isn’t jaw-dropping but if you want the best it at least offers some very decent savings that you can put towards something like an awesome speaker system accessory.
