The impressive new Dell XPS 15 9560 notebook with 4K UHD display is now being stocked for sale and demo in physical Microsoft stores in the U.S. So if you happen to have one of the company’s retail locations near your home and want to give this new laptop a go, this is a great chance.

Several sources on the web have by now spotted the new XPS 15 displays on sale in Microsoft store locations in different states and units are apparently available for demo purposes and for sale. Oddly though, the Microsoft online store isn’t yet showing the XPS 15 9560 as in-stock yet and instead still only stocks the very similar XPS 15 9550.

Despite the lack of an in-stock 9560 on the website,, Amazon and Costco even are all selling the new laptop on their websites, so you can also grab a unit there if you don’t happen to have a physical Microsoft retail location close enough to drive to easily.

On the Dell website and other product sources, several different versions of the XPS 15 9560 are available with only the priciest offering a 4K ultra HD touch display. Other modifications that affect price include the size of the XPS 15’s RAM, storage and processor specs. At their maximum in the priciest version of this new laptop, these specs consist of up to 32GB of RAM, a 1TB SSD solid state storage and an Intel Core i7-7700HQ of the Kaby Lake type, which are all designed to handle 4K video and graphics in laptops as never before (even allowing for streaming of consumer 4K content to a laptop due to their support for HDCP 2.2 and HEVC.

The XPS 15 9560 4K model with some of the most powerful processing specs available isn’t cheap however. For example, the Amazon model with a 4K UHD display, 16GB RAM and 1TB SSD drive is retailing on pre-order right now for $2,199.00, and on the Dell website, a version with 4K touch display, 7th Generation Intel® Core™ i5-7300HQ Quad Core Processor and 8GB of RAM is going for a slimmer price of $1,599.99.

The new XPS 15 9560 also comes with the powerful gamer-friendly option of a Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 GPU for some very solid HD and even 1440p gaming power (but it’s not good enough for smooth 4K gameplay unfortunately) and the 4K UHD display is an optional feature, so if you think this is unnecessary and want to shear a chunk off this laptop’s price, the HD model is probably going to deliver more than enough graphic performance since we are after all talking about a mere 15 inch laptop display here.
