Samsung’s New 105” Inch Curved 5K Ultra HD TV Is Astonishing! But There’s One Catch

Since premiering its ultra large Ultra HD 5K (Not just 4K) curved screen TV at CES 2014 in January, Samsung has been quiet about the eventual price tag of the massive, extremely advanced 105” inch LED TV.

Now that’s changed. As of late July, the name brand electronics manufacturer has finally released the price of this latest, customizable model, also called the UN105S9W.

And this is where the catch comes in. While this is undoubtedly the single most impressive UHD TV to emerge on the market so far, it’s going to start selling for just under $120,000 USD, $119,999.99 to be exact, and it’s already available for pre-order.

Thus, for an amount of money that could buy you a decent house in at least half the major cities in the U.S.A, you can get your hands on the ultimate in home entertainment television. The UN105S9W is available made to order and can include a range of custom specs that will be tailored to your particular tastes and needs.

However, speaking of the essentials of the package, this massive, beautiful TV comes with a curved 4K compatible LCD LED TV screen that throws a whopping 11 million pixels at you, which is about 5 and a half times as much as even the best conventional 1080 HD screen on the market. It also features a metal frame with a fine wood finish back and includes Samsung’s proprietary UHD Dimming and Precision Black contrast features for even more superb picture quality.

What this in essence means is deep rich blacks and fine bright whites on every piece of content the 105S99W displays. Furthermore, it includes a quad screen mode (with individual mini screen being the size of a decent normal TV by itself given the overall 105 inch dimensions) UHD upscaling for all conventional HD content and an overall resolution of 5,120 x 2160 pixels, making this one of the most resolution intensive ready to order TVs available anywhere today.

Of course, the 105S9W also comes with the usual powerful Samsung media features such as Smart TV platform access with apps included, and all the connectivity you could need for integrating nearly every high end electronic gadget in your house to the main TV platform itself to create a massive home entertainment system that will impress any guests.

As we already said, customer specification is the go to method of giving this TV to Samsung customers and the company is offering 12 week delivery once they start shipping in the latter half of 2014.

The 105 inch UN105S9W is also being accompanied to the consumer market by the slightly smaller and slightly cheaper 85 inch bendable 4K UHDTV, also from Samsung, which will be available for shipping based on pre-orders around the same time.

While you don’t need a monster like the 105S9W to enjoy the full beauty of 4K resolution, there is scarcely a more robust platform for doing so on the market today.
