Meet Fujifilm’s New $600 Mirrorless Camera With 4K Video & 24.2 Megapixel Photos
Stephan Jukic – May 25, 2018
The Fujifilm X-T100 is a compact interchangeable lens mirrorless camera with one sleek utilitarian design and one very nice price tag for the photographic and video recording punch it packs. At $600, the new compact shooter delivers some great features and specs, and is the latest addition to Fujifilm’s X series of mirrorless cameras.
For starters, the little camera comes packed with a powerful high resolution 24.2 megapixel APS-C sensor that’s boosted by a high speed image processing engine that could give Sony’s mirrorless models a run for their money. Beyond this, the X-T100 offers full compatibility with all 26 of the Fuji brand’s lineup of high quality X Mount lenses. Unlike most DSLR cameras, this mirrorless model sends light directly to its sensor and thus can afford a much smaller size. It also boasts an electronic OLED viewfinder and a horizontal tilting rear LCD tohcscreen for image manipulation and settings adjustments.

In terms of connectivity, the little mirrorless comes with Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity for easy image sharing and due to its somewhat extended battery life can handle up to 450 images or frames on a single charge.
As for its photographic and video chops, the T-X100 has plenty to offer. It can deliver 11 distinct film simulation modes, 17 advanced filter variations for more artistically inclined in-camera image manipulation and shoots regular RAW photos as well of course. 4K video recording can also be done at a conservative but acceptable 24/30fps and 1080p HD video shooting is available at 59.94fps.
Fujifilm is even offering the camera in several stylish colors, with black, dark silver, and champagne gold external finishes being available once this camera hits the market on June 18th. It’s price tag of $600 for a body-only version and $700 for a model with included Fujinon XC15 45 F/3.5-5.6 kit lens isn’t too terrible either.
