Fujifilm hosts a 4K Day in Culver City, California, on August 13th
Stephan Jukic – August 12, 2015
Camera lens maker Fujifilm is hosting a 4K Day event partially in an effort to showcase their 4K IS Mini and latest Zoom lenses at the DMPC in Culver City, California. The event will include guest speakers throughout the day and also offer chances for visitors and camera buffs to try out Fujinon’s newest technology right up close and personally.
The lenses from Fuji will be paired together with Sony 4K cameras such as the F55, F65, FS7 and Sony’s latest, the HDC-4300- one of the company’s true 4K broadcast cameras. Attendees to the event will also be able to watch live video footage and imagery from the Fuji lenses paired to these Sony cameras, projected onto the event’s 25 foot projection screen through the use of Sony’s own latest 4k ultra HD projection technology.
Once again, Fujinon will be using their 4K event to feature their assortment of lenses and some of the models that will be on show include the Fujinon UA80x9BESM (9 – 720mm) 4K Broadcast 80x zoom lens on a Sony HDC-4300 4K broadcast studio camera, the Fujinon UA22x8BERD (8 – 176mm) 4K ENG 22x zoom lens on the same Sony HDC Studio Broadcast camera and the Fujinon ZK12x25 (25 – 300mm) 4K PL 12x zoom lens (in both Cine style and in broadcast style through Fuji’s new optional drive unit) on a Sony F55 4K broadcast studio camera. In addition to these heavy shooters and lenses, there will also be 7 other 4K Fuji lenses shown throughout the day with Cine PL and Broadcast B4 mounts.
Fujifilm will also be using the DMPC event in Culver City to feature its IS-mini HDMI 4K and IS-Mini RACK 4K products. In this direction, Fuji is growing its product line further with additions like a new version of the IS-mini Manager and the above two devices.
Finally, product specialists from Fuji and Sony will also be present at the event to discuss the technologies and Fuji’s approach to creating ACES color management workflows from the on-set level to final delivery of finished video.
