Best Buy’s Xbox One S 1 TB HDR game console bundle with Gears of War 4 for $299

For fans of console gaming on the new 4K TV they might have bought this Black Friday, the Xbox One S would make just about the perfect device for giving your new 4K HDR TV’s game chops a good spin.

Microsoft’s new One S console comes in three versions (500GB, 1TB, and 2TB) and the version being sold by Best Buy includes a powerful 1TB storage which also handles high dynamic range gameplay, 4K UHD upscaling and comes with the bonus feature of a very decent 4K Blu-ray player with also supports HDR.

No the Xbox One doesn’t support native 4K gaming like Sony’s PlayStation 4 Pro but the latter console doesn’t include a 4K Blu-ray player like the One S does. This is not to mention that the PS 4 Pro’s native 4K gaming capabilities are in any case on the weak side from what we’ve seen.

One other awesome feature which is coming soon to the Xbox One is support for Dolby Atmos sound, which will take its 4K Blu-ray and gaming chops to the next level of immersion.

Now all of this is available from Best Buy for only $299 with the inclusion of the Gears of War 4 game package for a total price of just $299. This was until recently the retail price at which only the 500GB Xbox One S sold, so we definitely consider this offer to be a solid deal.

If you’ve gotten yourself a new Samsung 4K TV or a Vizio model, the One S and its HDR game rendering will be particularly useful features to go with these TVs’ wonderfully fast HDR gaming capabilities. And even if you don’t own one of these 4K TVs, what better 4K Blu-ray player than one that also lets you play high-end console games?

This aside from the useful fact that this console lets you enjoy 4K Blu-ray movies in all their HDR glory even if your internet connection isn’t robust enough for 4K content streaming.

Check out Best Buy’s Black Friday deal on the Xbox One S gaming bundle. If you’re a console gamer, it’s absolutely worth a look.

Dell has one of the best deals out there today: the 500 gb Battlefield 1 bundle with Gears of War 4 and an extra controller for $249.99.
